National Organizations Sustainable Growth
When a national ministry becomes mature, a non-profit organization is founded in the country to support and sustain the work.
From that point on, all Josiah Venture ministry done in this country functions under the umbrella of the national organization, which is registered according to the laws and requirements of that region.
National organizations are accountable to the vision and values of JV.
As partners, they have access to the entire team’s resources, including staff, training materials, and financial systems.
In addition, they are in covenant with the other organizations within Josiah Venture for mutual accountability and support.
That is why the JV council is formed by country leaders from each national organization.

Současné programy JV Czech
The main focus of Josiah Venture Czech (JV Czech) activities remains the preparation of young leaders and youth development, with an emphasis on building a missionally open youth culture.
We provide this support to young people primarily through personal leadership mentoring, youth leadership program facilitation, educational activities, and outreach.
In 2025, we provided personal coaching to nearly 300 leaders and 120 local churches.
One of last year’s key developments was the launch of the 360° View of Youth Ministry facilitation program.
This program is a key tool for youth/adolescent/outreach ministry teams, etc.
With this program, teams can use appropriate questions to find common answers to important questions, such as: Who are we actually doing this ministry for? What results do we expect? Where are we and where do we want to go?
The main educational project of 2025 was the interdenominational event called Summit 2025, organized in cooperation with five denominational youth departments on the topic of mental health.
In 2025, JV Czech and five youth denominational departments formed a working group to develop a concept for an interdenominational educational ecosystem for young people (ages 15-17).
The goal is continuous investment that, in the long term, should prepare the next generation for leadership roles in churches, mission services, and organizations.
Our common desire is to create an environment where young people can grow in maturity, creativity, and responsibility.
Worship. We focused on three areas in which we invested in worship leaders and their teams:
Training: at 8 locations in the Czech Republic for more than 25 worship teams, a drumming workshop in collaboration with Timothy Band.
Conferences: providing worship at the Business Conference in Malenovice, the interdenominational Connect Conference in Nejdek, the Worship and Adoration Conference in Brno, supporting the Summer School of Worship in Ostrava, organized by Evangelical Theological Seminary (ETS), the Hledamboha.cz conference in Olomouc, and Multicamp in Zlín.
Creative tools: Creative weekend with worship songwriting, start of development of a worship song database, worship evenings with a team from Christ Community Church (St.
In 2025, regular outreach programs for young people were operating in 17 locations:
200-300 participants attended Fusion choirs operated in 8 locations across the Czech Republic.
We organized a meeting for local Fusion leaders, called InFusion.
At the same time, preparations began for the international Fusiondary Festival planned for April 2026.
JV Czech organized the EDGE Ultimate Frisbee sports clubs in 7 locations, two of which were newly established, for 100-120 young athletes.
They were able to meet during four tournaments that we organized for them throughout the year.
As part of the Quest experiential program, we offered a weekend LARP (Life Action Role Play) event called CON-QUEST.
The experimental Quest Club at one school continues successfully.
We also want to continue using experiential elements across various training and educational programs.
The EDGE Gaming club operated at one location, with approximately 20 participants who met in person to play various games (on computers, consoles, mobile phones, and board games).
Discussions and introductions to the program are underway with two other churches/interested parties.
In addition to the above, 2025 saw strong growth connected to The Chosen series: another 50 new Chosen Clubs were launched (for season one), and 30 existing clubs continued (for seasons two or three).
Just over 40 of these clubs were aimed primarily at young people, reaching around 450 youth.
We managed to create online Chosen Clubs in cooperation with Hledamboha.cz which can work with an e-coach or as individual e-learning material.
In the summer, we supported 14 churches in organizing 12 camps - from English and Sports camps to Fusion camps and various combinations.
In addition, there were 9 interns, 137 mission team members from the USA, and 534 students.
In 2025, we assisted three local churches in organizing the EXIT Tour project.
Each city hosted student programs at up to five schools.
This one-time effort also supported the longstanding FUSION ministry and helped initiate a new EDGE Ultimate Frisbee club.
JV Czech oversees the Christian Teachers Network, which currently brings together 549 lecturers and teachers from various types of schools and extracurricular education.
Key moments of 2025 were: Nádech (Breath) - a one-day program for Christian teachers that renews their vocation and allows them to look at education from a new perspective, held in four locations in the Czech Republic for 51 educators.
Daniel Week - an accredited 40-hour DVPP course on “Personal Development in the Teaching Profession” attended by 23 teachers from four countries (the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Great Britain, and the USA).
Transformation projects: Since 2020, students have been able to learn from the vision of J. A. Comenius and work to make a positive impact in their communities.
At the Malenovice Conference Center, we hosted dozens of conferences, church retreats, weekend educational events, and many summer camps.
Over the past year, we have continued renovating the hotel rooms.
A volunteer program focused on participants’ personal development through work on the hotel team, coaching, and pastoral guidance became part of the summer season.
Next year, we plan to expand this program for youth teams.
This past year we were able to purchase a hotel which sits across the street from our Hotel Malenovice’s cabins.
I am grateful to all the churches and youth with whom we worked in 2025.
And I also thank all our supporters and partners for standing with our missionaries, programs, and projects.
Next year, we plan to focus on interdenominational education for young leaders, use the summer to connect with young people, and keep working with those who started The Chosen Club.

The year 2024 saw the handover of the leadership of Josiah Venture Czech from Dusan Drabina to the new director, Jakub Vejmelka.
Naturally, with the change of leadership comes some changes, but what definitely remains is our mission of training young leaders and supporting youth.
We have had the opportunity to provide this in different intensities and forms - through personal accompaniment, outreach programs, and a wide range of educational offerings, emphasizing building a missional culture among youth.
Worship.
In 2024, regular youth outreach programs were operating in 25 locations.
Fusion Choirs were offered in 10 locations nationwide last year, with 224 participants.
We have developed a set of e-learning materials to facilitate Fusion’s work.
Seven youth groups organized Sports EDGE Ultimate Frisbee Clubs for 152 young athletes in partnership with Josiah Venture Czech.
They could meet together during four tournaments we organized for them during the year in Brno, 2 times in Slatiňany and Pardubice.
Six youth groups tried Experience Quest clubs, with 76 participants in total.
In addition, we had the opportunity to present experiential contact activities within the framework of Kemperence in Montenegro for lecturers at Immanuel Center and Brodfest.
We also piloted the first EDGE Gaming Club, with 16 participants who met in person to play different games (computers, consoles, mobiles, board games, etc.).
One of the innovations of the past year was the Motion program, which consisted of students and leaders working together to conceive, prepare, and implement a service project.
This club was piloted with one local church, where eight students managed to prepare a project combined with a performance at the Retirement Home and the Children’s Home.
Fusion, EDGE, Quest, and Gaming representatives met at the Central Highway Camp during the summer.
As we do every year, we hosted an Improve fall training event for all the regular contact program teams, with 62 young leaders joining.
Other clubs have been formed following the newly offered contact program The Chosen Clubs created in the wake of The Chosen series.
An amazing 130 churches from across the country have expressed interest in the program, and about 40 clubs have been launched.
We had the opportunity to present the program at the UNITED festival and Kristfest in the form of workshops in the summer and at Brodfest in the fall.

At the end of the year, we cooperated with local youth and volunteers to organize an EXIT Tour in one city.
Together, we visited four schools, where we received excellent feedback and had the opportunity to reach around 900 students.
In 2024, we said goodbye to the Josiah Venture Czech department dedicated to lecturers’ and teachers’ work, the so-called School for Life.
This department has been helping the Christian Teachers Network, which has been running for 14 years, support Christians in schools since 2016.
The School for Life is now ceasing its activities, and only the Teachers’ Network will continue with a base at KAM.

The “Respect for Life” tutoring work with pupils in schools and training Christian teachers and tutors, especially regarding ethics and character, will continue in the Ethics and Character Education established by KAM, where Vít Pospíšil is the new director.
The Via Comenia Foundation, with Denisa Mouchova as director, will continue to support the creation of new Spiritual Heritage materials and invest in training and mentoring Christians in education, Christian clubs, and schools.
We look back with gratitude at the milestones: 2010 Ethical Education o.p.s.
At the Malenovice Conference Center, we created facilities for various events, whether organized by Josiah Venture Czech or international churches, Christian organizations, or secular organizations.
We are glad that the Malenovice campus could serve as a base and space for mental and spiritual recharge for all these types of programs.
The total occupancy of the Conference Center in 2024 was 17,821 person-nights.
During the peak season, the conference center hosted 23 local churches, ten youth camps, 34 educational events, 13 schools, and 119 individual retreats/tourists.
Twenty young people worked part-time assisting with operations, and the experience was an opportunity to grow in responsibility and diligence.
This year also opened the door for the Volunteer Program for young people ages 18-25, or even older youth workers who want a break from the overwhelming aspects of ministry to get their priorities in order and have time for development or a reboot.
Our goal is to continue to grow our services despite the economic fluctuations while keeping our prices at a sustainable level.
After 23 years, the hotel’s furnishings have seen their best days.
Donations in recent years have allowed us to enlarge and renovate the restaurant and patio, and by the end of the year, we will renew the carpets, beds, and mattresses.
I am thankful for all the churches and youth we partnered with in 2024.

We invite you to look back at our ministry over the past year.
In 2023, in different forms and intensities, we cooperated with half of the youth, which we currently have on record in the evangelical churches within the Czech Republic.
We consider synergy with denominations to be a key element of our ministry to young people, which we have developed over the past year both on a bilateral level and through joint projects.
We provided personal accompaniment in 88 congregations/churches in 2023, primarily from AC, CB, SCEAV, etc., where we met with youth or youth activity leaders, team members, and possibly church leaders.
The great benefit of this ministry is that it is not a mass group event but individual support focused on the leader’s or team’s specific needs.
In keeping with the current situation and need, there continues to be a great deal of interest from youth workers in a program focused on crisis intervention, mental health, and pastoral care.
In 2023, we recorded 24 episodes of the Nedopečeno (Unfinished) podcast (Youtube).
Several educational projects were also devoted to missional communities in 2023.
At the beginning of the year, we organized a conference, Open Youth Communities, for 30 youth leaders to discuss the topic of mission in the Czech context and share examples of good practice.
We have also developed educational material with denominational youth departments on the subject of Open Communities, which we will offer youth at the beginning of 2024.
In collaboration with the youth departments (AC, BJB, CB, and SCEAV) and KAM staff from across all departments, we prepared a 2nd Frontline event for 60 youth and youth leaders.
We helped with preparations for the School for Youth Leaders of Christian Congregations.
The first weekend took place in the autumn in Malenovice.
We have planned further training weekends for 2024.
Worship.
In 2023, we even offered specialized training for worship leaders and worship teams.
A group from one church went through the year-long program Worship.ko (comprised of a study, a series of workshops, and cohorts), and two local churches have joined.
A 2×2 training intensive (including a study and workshops) took place for another three worship teams, for a total of 45 people.

Fusionday 2026 is taking place April 24th-26th 2026 in the town of Vsetin, Czech Republic!
Our theme for the festival is “Dare,” and we want to prayerfully challenge the teenagers in attendance to take steps towards God in tandem with experiencing a lot of creativity, fun, international community, and inspiration during the festival.
We plan to have 10+ countries represented and 500+ people at the festival.
Each country needs to travel to the festival, which is an additional expense.
Would you be willing to help support the teenagers from Czech Republic as they travel, primarily by bus, to the festival?
